My wife, son and I were traveling home from Carlsbad Caverns on Friday, March 20, 2009, and around sunset my wife and son saw what appeared to be 4 lights hovering around 50 feet off of the ground, within a mile or so of the car (over some houses). My wife initially thought they were towers, but they all moved simultaneously vertically. These lights were pulsating (not at the same time). I immediately pulled to the shoulder of Hwy 285 and witnessed what was now 3 lights in a "V" formation (the 4th had disappeared). These lights rose vertically very slowly to a height of approximately 1000 feet in the air and after a brief pause began moving left (north) very slowly. It was getting close to sunset, and as the lights got further away the 3rd light appeared to be going slightly slower than the other two. When the lights were in front of a lighted area, I could see what appeared to be physical form behind the lights (for the first time). Shortly thereafter, a 4th light appeared in the middle of the other 3. The object(s) continued moving in the same direction, then all 4 of them "flashed out" simultaneously. My wife, son and I tracked these object(s) from directly beside our vehicle to approximately 10 or so miles away (to the horizon) behind our vehicle. The flight pattern paralleled Hwy 285. I grew up on various Air Force bases, and can recognize any military or commercial aircraft by sight and what we witnessed is nothing I have ever seen before. This/these object(s) made no noise whatsoever at any point and were close enough at the point that the attached photo was taken that I would have been able to hear engine noise if there was any. Other than the point in which the 3rd (rearward) object appeared to slow somewhat, the 3 objects (and subsequently all 4) moved in total conjunction with each other. We attempted to film this/these object(s) but the battery in our camera died in the middle of the filming, so the footage was unfortunately lost. The attached photo was taken with a 14 megapixel camera and has not been modified in any way, other than being copied off of the camera and onto a PC. No editing software of any kind has been used. The lights in the picture are slightly brighter than they were in real-life, as the camera appears to have slightly overexposed the picture. The slight blurriness of the ground was due to holding focus on the objects while they were moving to the left (slowly). The lights below (at ground level) are houses approximately 1/2 mile from the road.
Mon épouse, son fils et je voyage home de Carlsbad Caverns, le vendredi 20 Mars 2009, et le coucher du soleil autour de ma femme et mon fils a vu ce qui semblait être de 4 feux et se situaient à environ 50 pieds du sol, dans un mile environ de la voiture (sur certaines maisons). Ma femme a d'abord cru qu'ils étaient les tours, mais ils ont tous en même temps déplacé verticalement. Ces feux ont été palpitant (pas en même temps). J'ai immédiatement tiré à l'épaule de la route 285 et témoin de ce qui est maintenant 3 feux en "V" formation (la 4e a disparu). Ces feux ont augmenté très lentement à la verticale d'une hauteur d'environ 1000 pieds en l'air et après une brève pause en mouvement a commencé à gauche (nord) très lentement. Il a été de se rapprocher le coucher du soleil, et que les feux ont plus loin la 3ème lumière semble aller un peu plus lentement que les deux autres. Quand les lumières ont été à l'avant d'une zone éclairée, j'ai pu voir ce qui semble être la forme physique derrière les feux (pour la première fois). Peu de temps après, un 4e lumière apparaît dans le milieu de l'autre 3. L'objet (s) ont continué dans la même direction, puis tous les 4 d'entre eux "flashé sur" simultanément. Mon épouse, son fils et j'ai suivi ces objet (s) directement à côté de notre véhicule à environ 10 miles ou si loin (à l'horizon) derrière le véhicule. Le modèle de vol en parallèle l'autoroute 285. J'ai grandi sur différentes bases de l'armée de l'air, et peut reconnaître tout militaire ou des avions commerciaux de vue et ce que nous avons vu n'est rien que je n'ai jamais vu avant. Ce ou ces objet (s) ne fait pas de bruit que ce soit en tout point et étaient assez proches au point que la photo ci-jointe a été prise que j'aurais été capable d'entendre le bruit du moteur, s'il n'y a aucun. Autres que le point de la 3ème (en arrière) objet semble ralentir un peu, les 3 objets (et ensuite tous les 4) dans le total des déplacés liaison les uns avec les autres. Nous avons tenté de filmer cette / ces objet (s), mais la batterie de notre appareil photo est mort au milieu du tournage, si le film a été malheureusement perdu. La photo ci-jointe a été prise avec un appareil photo 14 mégapixels et n'a pas été modifié d'une manière quelconque, autre que la copie hors de l'appareil et sur un PC. Pas de logiciel d'édition de tout type a été utilisé. Les lumières de l'image sont un peu plus brillant que ce qu'ils étaient dans la vie réelle, car l'appareil semble avoir légèrement surexposée de l'image. La légère blurriness du sol est due à la tenue de se concentrer sur les objets pendant qu'ils se déplacent vers la gauche (lentement). Les feux ci-dessous (au niveau du sol) sont des maisons d'environ 1 / 2 mile de la route.
